This is a great day for all Gays and Lesbians. Today California over-turned the ban on gay marriage. They confirmed what we have all been saying - we want equality not just a band-aid. This is the real deal with the 4-3 decision paving the way for other states to follow suit.

Gays and Lesbians are just as committed and socially responsible as any straight person is. Besides, have you seen the divorce rates for them? They of all people shouldn't be dictating what a committed relationship is to us. This is our chance to prove that Gays and Lesbians can make this work for the better of the world.

I know that some Gays and Lesbians could care less about marriage, but don't let anyone squash your right to do it. As my mama used to say , , This is a great day for all Gays and Lesbians. Today California over-turned the ban on gay marriage. They confirmed what we have all been saying - we want equality not just a band-aid. This is the real deal with the 4-3 decision paving the way for other states to follow suit.

I know that some Gays and Lesbians could care less about marriage, but don't let anyone squash your right to do it. As my mama used to say "don't ever think that you won't want to change your mind sometime." We should all stand together and fight for everyone's rights in the other 48 states that don't allow us to make our own choices and live our lives the way we want to.

I dream of the day that I could marry my partner, not just live with him, be his domestic partner or be his "life mate." To me it's just a matter of ethics. I could marry the woman I loved, why can't I marry the man of my dreams?

Remember folks – What happens on the coasts will trickle down to the middle of the country and then we will all say "remember when."
